Accelerated Micro-Evolution

Every time the first of any toxins enters the human body, our brain awakens its defense mechanisms against the poisons. Specialized cells are created with a specific purpose. And, of course, Modern Civilization tries to annihilate these specializations, by making us afraid of the natural tools of our own micro-evolutionary progress, by calling it "Cancer" and trying to cut it out of us. It doesn't work. We die because we try to stop the power within from making us into what we are supposed to be: creatures who can live forever.
Imagine what a person could do if they actually let nature take its course, instead of fighting it at every turn.
It is only the poor and outcast who allow natural accelerated micro-evolution to occur; they can't afford cancer: that's a rich person's "disease". So micro-evolution prospers in the dark corners of society.
But some day, accelerated micro-evolution will be the norm for survival as the earth is murdered by "Civilization". Within 150 years there will be 12 billion people on this planet. In days to come, strangeness will be the norm.
Protect your powers: if Western Civilization gets word of you, they'll lock you up in "the Institute" or some similarly titled prison for freaks of nature.
Consider the recent events at the DHARMA Institutes "Lost Island" and eye-witness testimony from survivors of Oceanic Flight 815: certain thing need to be left alone. Certain forces are beyond our control.
