Super villains are fictional characters found in comic books and television series and are typically not good guys. They often possess one or more anomalistic abilities, though some baseline humans have been classified as "super" villains despite lacking any powers or abilities beyond those of mortal men.

Some individuals in the real world have evidenced traits similar to those of super villains; this article is presented for comparison.

Super Villains tend to have many objectives, however a popular one is world domination. Some simply desire the end of the world, while others would prefer total annihilation to failing at a take over. Others act from a distorted world-view and believe they are doing what is right or necessary.

A Super Villain typically operates out of a secret lair; this may be disguised as a mundane facility such as a paper processing plant or a factory that produces miniature factories.

A favorite diabolical plan is to poison, or otherwise affect, water supply.

Most Super Villains have henchmen. Unfortunately, Henchman are usually idiots and ironically tend to spoil their leader's plans.

The most dangerous Henchman is one with an agenda of his own, presenting a compliant face to the Super Villain while operating behind the scenes to his own ends. This Henchman may be a double agent for the forces of good, or may instead be simply angling to oust the Super Villain and assume command of his operations.
