Ando Masahashi is Hiro Nakamura's conscience, and Hiro is Ando's Conscience. Like the Yin/Yang symbol so prevalent in Eastern thought, Hiro is the geeky, serious, on task one when it comes to saving the world and Ando reminds Hiro that he is just a guy not a character in a 60's television show.
