[edit] Evidence for the existence of Anomalistic Individuals

While the Scientific community may look with disdain on Dr. Suresh's theories as fanciful or even insane, he does have a small (but growing) following among the open-minded scientific community as well as the so-called "New Age" community.

Unfortunately, the evidence supporting "Activated Evolution" is scant. Indeed, if any Anomalistic Individuals exist, it seems that one would more likely find out about them through tabloid journalism than through serious scientific study. (The results of Dr. Suresh's own investigations before his untimely death are, alas, unknown.)

For the "anomaly hunter", the following incidents, while sometimes fantastic sounding, appear to offer a "core of truth" that would make them worthy of further investigation.

[edit] Man Flies?

Las Vegas - The Weekly World News reprinted an article from the entertainment pages of the Las Vegas Sentinel. A woman having breakfast with her husband at a diner just outside of Las Vegas told a Sentinel reporter that a man, wearing only pajamas, dropped out of the sky and skidded to a stop in the diner's parking lot. He then came inside the restaurant and phoned for a limo to pick him up. When her husband was questioned, he denied seeing the man fall out of the sky, saying only "One second it was empty, the next he was walking in like he owned the place." The woman blamed her husband for preventing her from speaking to the man before his limo arrived and he subsequently left the diner along with a pair of tourists who had struck up a conversation with him.

The woman reporting the "flying man" is a schoolteacher, and not, in her own words, "prone to imagining things". Given the credibility of the witnesses, further investigation may be warranted.

[edit] Vanishing Inmate

Los Angeles - In an official statement released by the California Bureau of Justice an inmate was quoted as saying his cell mate simply fell through his bunk and the floor into the court yard below. Officials commented that the inmate was on high levels of sedatives and never had a cell mate during his prison term.

[edit] Anonymous Citizen Aids Police in Solving Heinous Quadruple Homicide

Orlando, FL - Just hours after recieving a 911 emergency telephone call that alerted police to a station wagon parked off I-4 containing the bodies of four unidentified persons, an anonymous male led investigators to the prime suspects in the case. The two alleged suspects were found in a trailer not far from the scene, both said to be in shock and eagerly confessing to their crimes.

In an odd twist, both men spoke of hearing a number of voices speaking in rapid succession until it provoked paranoia, locking themselves into the trailer at Canacita Campgrounds in Kissimee, FL.

The Orange County Sherriffs Department has not yet issued a statement about the man who presented the location of the two suspects.

[edit] Submitted reports of actual anomalistic individuals and events

The following are actual witnessed events and individuals, as reported and logged to the wiki-editors of this site.

[edit] Healing

Numerous reports exist of "miraculous" healing via a "laying on of hands" in the religious world. Some systems of study, like Reiki, claim similar results for those who have been "attuned." One claimant has witnessed multiple minor healings (removing the pain from a toothache, stomachache, backache, pinched finger, etc.) where the healer kept their hands about 1-2 inches away from the body. It should be noted that the healer, on several occasions, was unable to help with a serious injury (like a broken bone) but did immediately suggest professional care in those instances. The healer claims various feelings in his hands during the "session", including magnetism, heat, cold, pulsations, and electricity. The subjects who had their minor injuries anesthetized also claimed feeling similar sensations. When it was a major injury, however, both the healer and the subject felt a sensation of extraordinary heat.

[edit] Telekinesis

One claimant reports witnessing two seperate instances of a person being forcably shoved backwards by an apparently invisible force. In both cases, the subject forced back reported a feeling of a wall of energy. The first report had the subject "slammed out of the kitchen against the wall in the hallway by what felt like a giant invisible hand", ostensibly generated by the other person in the kitchen. The second report involved two subjects making "a tunnel of energy" between them as they stood 15 feet apart. One subject suddenly fell backwards, landing on his butt, after the other apparently had "lashed out" in an attempt to see if the energy experienced was real. The subject who had fallen had suggested the "energy tunnel" in the first place and had been a student of Huna (a Hawaiian study of subtle energy). Whether these two examples were actually telekinesis (movement by thought) or some other form of energy is debatable.

[edit] Invisibility

There exists a report of a subject voluntarily exhibiting this ability in a controlled, closed environment. The witness claims it was like a "fading out" and "fading in" over 30-60 seconds rather than an instantaneous vanish. The witness had had no prior experience with drugs and was in a completely sober state of mind. There was nothing between the witness and the subject aside from perhaps 12 feet of carpeted floor. The possibility cannot be ruled out, however, that this wasn't a case of hypnotism. Such an ability is alluded to, however, at the end of the "new age" book The Celestine Prophecy. It should be noted that the witness does not see how any rational person can believe this.
