From Activating Evolution
A pet is usually an animal, but sometimes a rock, that is kept by people. Often, the pet becomes an integral part of the family structure and is given a name (eg. Mr. Muggles). It is unknown at this time if common house-pets can express anomalistic abilities from extended proximity to other anomalistic organisms, endogenous retroviruses, or horizontal gene transferrence, or excessive selective breeding.
