Here's the footnote template, fill in the obvious things with your user name, the time, and the date and add it in on pages after about five lines: "*Page defended by How you want your name to appear of the Advancing Evolution Wiki Warriors at HH:MM am/pm on MM/DD/YYYY"
A bit of coordination never hurt anyone - having an active page to work together through is a very good idea, even if people refrain from being added to the article itself.

Me and Truk cleaned the place up big time, still going through some of it. I've added a bit of description to "Another Bot Page", and I've started directing all of the fake pages there since I'm not sure about deleting. I think that's the best course of action we can take now.
We should email someone about being made moderators or admins or something, or at least about getting some. Cleaning up is fine, but if we could block to people who are obviously just posting spam, it may help a bit. This place has NO moderation besides us. *shrug*

I want to start off by wishing you all a happy new year. I hope it went well for you all.
However, I'm posting because of a problem. I can't find a link to recent changes made on the site, and the main one on the front page has been de-linked. I'm beginning to think that we have a bigger problem than bots. We may actually have a real person screwing with us.
First objective from here is to get a link to recent changes set up. We can't be wandering aimlessly around the wiki.
Second objective is to just keep fighting. We can edit faster than they can post. We're human beings; they're (as far as I can tell) not.
Let's keep it up. I think we're making a huge difference here.

FTH, I just noticed the recent change problem. I really have no idea how to fix it..and you are right, we are deff. having a bigger problem then bots. People are using this site as a playground, screwing with the different pages.
And when I DO jump around, someone has screwed up so many pages. There's like, talk of the evil overlord "Mel Gibson"..this IS someone screwing with us. With the dream stuff revamping this site, we really need to figure this out.

I received this message today:
"HEy, why don't you delete users that Contibute to Spam, as I check back and aedit pages removing spam, I'll compile a list of who put it on pages. I hope t oaid you guys, maybe even be a Wiki Warrior.^.-"
We're able to delete users? AWESOME. This should be a huge help. This person really is going be a great contribution to our group.
I hope you've all continued to fight anything spammish that arises. Our hard work is really paying off.

Folks:
PLEASE respond to our pleas for help! We do not mind helping to keep the site clean, but we would like your attention to the problem. It seems there are just a couple of us lately who are doing all of the clean up work. I don't mind doing this and helping out, but come on! No one seems to know who the site Admin is, and no one seems to have any actual authority as far as deleting spammers, deleting bad pages, etc. We can all keep on trying to keep the site clean, but without the ability to delete these yahoos when they add spam and pornographic links to pages, it will remain a futile effort on all out parts.
