should people with the same power be listed in each powers definition or will that lead syler to them?
Who thinks each ability should have its own page? I think it would make things easier being able to link derectly to the description of a power whenever it is used and it would make the list of ablilities smaller and esier to navigate. Im going to try to do this if anybody with better skills at this then me is willing to help it would be apreciated as it is a large edit. HolyHellraiser 23:39, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Thanks for understanding what Aqua-, Terra-, and Aerokinesis are whoever created the larger descriptions fo those. I happened to think of those last night while thinking that there was a pyrokinesis and people never mentioned these other elements. I would ask that these arent removed even though they are not in the show, simply because they are very much possible because they spawn of the idea of pyrokinesis' credibility as a power.

[edit] There are more that what is listed
There are a suprising number of omitions in what is listed under this heading.
For example, "Increased Hearing" is listed, but not "Increased Sight". Eyesight could be across the entire electomagnetic spectrum, not just the visible light spectrum. Someone could literally have "x-ray eyes"! Or "telescopic vision"
I also don't see a mention of what could be called "invulnerability". Unlike "Healing", a person with invulnerability simply would not sustain physical injury in the first place.
I'm sure others can name abilities not listed, to get a more comprhensive model of what the next stage of evelution will look like
Actually, there are quite a few undocumented abilities that I am assembling from my own prior studies which I hope to include in a large update in the near future. For now I have documented one, Obtenebrative Teleportation. More to come in the future.

My dear friends and colleagues, is it really necessary to list the people potentially having these capabilities in the open like this? Is it our right to expose their abilities to the public?
Or even abilities of our own?
I need not remind you that the late Dr. Suresh never disclosed his original list for fear of the public's reaction to the news of people with these gifts. Some would embrace them, but others would be fearful.
Allow the public to make decisions as they see fit. Lets leave names out of this, at least in our listing of the potential abilities of these advanced-stage humans.

[edit] So how are we going to do this Wiki?
So far I'm seeing people on the fence between playing it true to the series as an expanded universe kind of thing, where its -actually- Mohinder's wiki and the information on it is "real" in the context of the story, and on the other hand we have people making it just another fan-site about Heroes.
What are your opinions? I think we should use this it create a fan-based creative medium to expand on the series, not just another fandom wiki and discussion forum for the series.

- I agree, this wiki should be kept in game. It makes sense to treat the information as if it were in the Heroes universe. I think the discussion pages are safe to keep out of game though.
- In game, but with jokes and outrageous theories. It's a theory wiki after all.
- Repeat to yourself it's just a show, and you should really just relax. Each individual participant should be allowed to bring to it what they have. Some are better at jokes than being serious. Others are anal-retentive. There's room here for everybody. The bottom line, if you're not having fun and enjoying yourself? Try wikipedia.org. - Well, my point is that there are tons of places to make jokes about the series. The Wiki here, when it first launched a few days ago, was really built like a site about "serious" powers, cued to the universe the show is built in. Now, it's got X-Men in it, jokes, edited pages with "lol'z" about storyline progression. I dunno, maybe I just thought this had potential to be a really cool new angle for expanding on the television series' actual plot-line. Mr. Pickman

I think this site shouldnt be taken to seriouly but its important to remember that while this is a game it does have its rules. I think that the names of abilities could be consolidated across the site - especially on the list of Anomlistic Abilities compared to the list of people with anomalistic abilities - different names are used for the same power, which could lead to confusion.

Where would one go to learn to control their ability? Being dissected by the government doesn't sound like a good place to start. Where could someone get some help?

To any one who adds powers, please note. Adding -kinesis does not make something a superpower. Kinesis implies physical movement and does not belong on powers that do not involve physical movement (i.e. Cyberkinesis). -Level 16:48, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
- I'd add that -kinesis should be taken off a great many things and the list consolidated heavily. For example, Telepathy and Mind Control could be merged into "Thought Projection and Control" then outlined as stages and growth of the power. We should also add two general categories of powers-observed (i.e., on the show) and theoretical (i.e., the ones we make up). Personally, I'm hoping for a Lex Luthor type super genius power to pop up.Science Man 15:31, 11 December 2007 (EST)

Could a virus like the Shanti-virus exist? Since we dont have special abilities we cant really know, but could it be possible for a virus like that to exist? what if we all have "gifts" but we're just being blocked by a virus like in heroes? Answers please.
