Didn't Sylar inherit Eden's abilities when he killed her? Then he used The Voice on Claire's mother (I think he said "Remember me?").

Suggest adding Eden's ability to Sylar's list.

  • She shot herself in the head specifically to keep him from doing whatever he does to brains in order to gain powers. So, no, he probably does not have her power. Peter, however, does.
    • Peter never met Eden. And as for the voice, he said "Hi" and it was the telekinesis voice, not the suggestion-planting voice. -Dinea
  • Sylar NEVER took edens ability. she shot herself (destroying her brain) so that sylar couldnt take her power. in an interview kring said that "although unusual vocal effects were used for both Sylar (Distractions) and Peter Petrelli (Unexpected), both were for "coolness factor", and were not an indication that either was using persuasion."

Agreed, this information should be considered out of game since this website is meant to be owned by Mohinder Surresh. Why would we have character names, abilities and histories when he only has a name and address.

  • Would you want your name listed for the world to see if you had a "special" ability? I know I wouldn't so perhaps this should be removed for privacy reasons.

[edit] Induced Hallucinations vs Illusion

It seems a few people are conflicted about this for Candace. If it is in fact Induced Hallucinations please state your reasoning, I'm curious.

    • Ahh... I didn't see you said illusion. I thought you were arguing that she is a shape shifter. I guess there is no way to tell whether it is illusion or hallucination, yet.


      • It's an illusion because everyone sees it. If it was an hallucination, she could target people.
        • If she was just bending light in certain ways (which is how I define illusion), she would only be affecting one sense, sight. I think that Candice can trick all five senses, because she imitated Simone and Mrs. Bennet's voices (and possibly HRGs, but that's another theory). It's possible that she can bend both light and soundwaves, but it's also possible that she is inducing hallucinations (which can also affect all five senses) in a large number of people by messing with their brain chemistry through very subtle telekinesis. However, I believe Tim Kring referred to Candice as a "master of illusion" in his blog.
  • wtf? candices power is illusion. she made the ILLUSION that simones body wasnt there. same way she could herself make her body invisible, by creating the illusion that she wasnt there.

I think that famous people have reason to be on the list. Mohinder said there were probably thousands with abilities, so there are bound to be people with abilities who aren't on the show. Why can't celebrities be among those thousands? We have to explain their abnormal abilities too. - themightytruk

    • I have some input, it is stupid to put them on there, and should be considered vandalism.
    • I agree with themightytruk. If others do indeed have abilities, it would make sense that some celebrities would be evolved. That would explain their excellence in certain areas.
    • I think it's a complete waste of space putting celebrities on there. We don't know they have powers so they don't belong on this list. The title of the article is list of KNOWN humans with advanced genes, and we don't know for sure if people like Chuck Norris, Colonel Sanders, or Stan Lee have super powers.

Sylar is hunting them one by one, and you give him a list of names? This list should be removed.

    • Agreed however, it is only a partial list so, sacrifice a few to save many? Some of us are not on there, yet. Besides what makes you think Mohinders list is the "ONLY" list?

To cast any into a sacrifice (sp)will only give the killer more to destroy. I am aware of others organizations who seek to categorize us all, but Mohinders is the most complete and complex to date, particularly considering his ability to map the genome and identify our markers.

We are all in danger, but this list only makes that danger stronger by the day.

    • Again, Primatech already has Chandra's List thanks in part to Eden McCain. There are no telling how many of us are on Primaetechs list, we have not seen it. As Arnold would say, don't be a girlie-man. Learn to use your power. Learn to benifit from it in order to survive.

      • I think we can do away with the Peter excess. Empath is his ability, the rest are powers he has because of the Empath ability, which should be listed on his character page. Also, Maya and Alejandro's powers aren't really known yet and Kensei may not be immortal.
        • i am going with what i see, I will give you Kensei, but Maya And Alejandro appear to complement one another and she appears to have the virus, and he apparently can cure it.

  • We'll settle on Molecular Manipulation for now. Imprinting could work too. But, since she can apparently re-arrange skin, change eye and hair color, it must be on a molecular level. Morphing mainly applies to the film industry and computer animation. --Psych-Gen 22:19, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Would Metamorphosis be a better term for this? As long as there was a disclaimer stating that Metamorposis is not the same thing as shapeshifting since it can be used to affect others.

little is know about this person, only that he's older than he looks, perhaps much more older?. The person named as "Nova" has been trying to track him down, unsucessful, only to discover that he looks like a 17 year-old, and claiming that he is too dangerous, enough to not be allowed to live. that's the only information received... for the moment.
