Ted Sprague is an Evolved person with the ability to generate nuclear energy. His wife died of radiation poisoning when his powers manifested without his knowledge. Ted gained excellent control of his ability just before being murdered by Sylar.

Ted Sprague has been recently learning to control his powers and learned that he could use them to create an electromagnetic pulse.

Sprague was arrested by FBI agents when they were tipped off to his whereabouts by Sylar posing as Isaac Meddaz. He continued to show his caring nature by insisting on a concreate cell so everyone was safe. The FBI truck transporting him was then stopped by Sylar. Sprague was killed when Sylar took his brain, thus gaining his abilities.
