Hope you don't mind, but I cleaned up your information regarding Benjamin, and added a bit more to it.

To create a page I usually type the name of the page I want to create into the search field. This lets me know if the page already exists or not, make sure the spelling is correct, but we can always fix that later. If it does not exist, go ahead and click on the create this page link. Pages you create are treated as private pages as long as you don't add the category:anomalistic abilities tag to the page. It is that tag that adds someones non-canon ability to the list. Also the page is always visible on the Special:Recentchanges:Recent Changes list whenever you change it and, the anyones watch list that happens to be watching it, so it does not keep it completely hidden.
